Day 01: Jaipur - Jodhpur (330 Kms)

Drive to Jodhpur early in the morning. On arrival at Jodhpur, check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day is free for leisure or you can visit the local market. An overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02: Jodhpur
After breakfast, we will visit the Mehrangarh Fort. Founded by Rao Jodha in 1459, Mehrangarh Fort is one of the largest forts in Jodhpur. It is the most glorious fort in Jodhpur as well as in Rajasthan. Located on a 150 m high hill, the fort is a major attraction among most tourists visiting India. Enter the seven, battle-scarred gateways and tour the highlights, learning about the fort’s past as you go. It is 5 kms below through a circular road from the city.

Further, we will visit The Jaswant Thada.

Jaswant Thada is an elegant marble monument of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Built by his son Maharaja Sardar Singh in the memory of his father, the monument is also known as the Taj Mahal of Marwar. The main center of the memorial has been built like a temple with intricately carved marble stone.

Later, we will visit Umaid Bhawan Palace.

Built by Maharaja Umaid Singh (1929 - 1942), Umaid Bhawan Palace was named after him. This wonderful Palace is also named as Chittar Palace due to the local chittar sandstone used in its building. It is one of the great examples of Indo-colonial and art deco architecture of the 30s. The exclusive feature of this palace is that the manually chiselled sandstone blocks have been put together in a special system of interlocking. A part of this ancient palace has been now converted into a hotel. The other remains on the hotel is converted into an excellent museum that houses model weapons, aeroplanes, antique clocks, priceless crockery, bob watches and hunting trophies. Inside the museum also view its displays of royal regalia, weapons, and timepieces, and admire the gardens, complete with peacocks and a Zodiac Pool. Both sections of the palace together retain the ambience of royal splendour.

After a buffet lunch at a local restaurant, we will head to see Jodhpur’s Clock Tower, and enjoy shopping time at Sadar Market, a traditional haat (outdoor) bazaar. Browse the stalls for souvenirs like silver jewelry, bangles, clothes, and textiles before your tour finishes for the day.

Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.
